When I began writing The Power of Asking for Help, I knew the launch had to happen somewhere that understood the story from the inside. Miami isn't just a backdrop — it's a character. It's a city that speaks two languages fluently, that holds complexity with grace, and that has always known that the most powerful thing you can do is reach out your hand and say: I need help.

More Than a Book Signing

This launch is not a typical author event. On the evening of September 15th, from 5 to 7 PM in Miami, we'll be celebrating the release of the book and the premiere of the documentary that came with it. Two formats. One story. One unforgettable evening.

And presenting the book will be someone who embodies everything it stands for: Emmy Award-winning journalist, bilingual sportscaster, and Telemundo Network host Lindsay Casinelli — a woman who has built her career on the power of showing up, asking the right questions, and telling stories that matter.

What Asking Has Cost Me — and Given Me

I won't pretend the journey to this launch has been easy. Writing a book about asking for help requires you to actually ask for help — and that is harder than it sounds. There were moments of doubt, of imposter syndrome, of wondering whether the world needed another book about vulnerability.
