I didn’t always know how to ask for help.
In fact, I built my life doing the opposite—pushing harder, doing more, carrying everything on my own.
Until life hit me all at once.
Within one week during COVID, I lost two close friends and my dog. The grief was overwhelming. And for the first time, doing it alone wasn’t working.
That’s when everything changed.
I made a decision that didn’t make sense to most people—I would swim across Lake Tahoe.
Not because I was ready.
But because I wasn’t.
Through the cold, the fear, and the uncertainty, I learned something that now defines my work:
You don’t grow by doing it alone.
You grow by asking.
Today, I bring that message to organizations, leaders, and high performers who are ready to stop carrying it all—and start unlocking what’s possible through connection.
